Type Locality and Naming

Along the village of Dehkabad, South-West Gissar. Kh.Kh. Mirkamalov, M.E. Egamberdyev, 1969 (300, p. 63). Stratotype 5 km northwest of the Akbrat (Akrabat?) settlement. Middle formation in the Adamtash Gr.

Synonym: Dehkanabad Suite, Дехканабадская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Clays with shell limestone interlayers in the Lower part, variegated clays and gypsums in the Middle, and dark clays with interlayers of organogenic-detrital limestones in the Upper part. Thickness 30-160 m.

Relationships and Distribution

Lower contact

Conformably overlies the Talhab Fm

Upper contact

Conformably overlain by the Modun Fm (Pachkamar Fm).

Regional extent

Corresponds to (or unites) the Dasgirak Fm and Muzbrat Fm (Muzrabat Fm). M.R. Jalilova (51; 190), S.V. Lobacheva. Str. sl. (446).
